New boom makes wheel loader more versatile

Featuring an advanced new boom system, Komatsu’s WA150PZ-5 wheel loader extends the range of applications for this type of machine. The new ‘PZ’ linkage increases both the power and versatility of the boom, making the WA150PZ-5 more than capable of meeting the needs of industrial, earthmoving and rental customers.

The new machine is based on the popular WA150-5 wheel loader. The most obvious upgrade is the modification of the Z-bar boom to include innovative ‘PZ’ kinematics. Combining two linkage systems in one, this enables outstanding lifting power as well as the parallel movement required for pallet fork applications. It also results in a high tilt-back force and superb view of the attachments.

Like its predecessor, the new ‘PZ’ version offers outstanding efficiency, driver comfort and reliability to maximize overall productivity. It is extremely stable and features high tractive effort, large breakout force and low fuel consumption. All the components are designed and manufactured by Komatsu to the highest quality standards. In addition, a swing-out cooling fan and gull-wing service doors provide easy, safe access to cut maintenance times.

The large SpaceCab™ provides the driver with excellent all-round visibility and ensures very low interior noise levels. With air conditioning, proportional pressure controls (PPC) and air-cushioned seat, it offers the driver the ultimate in comfort in any working environment.
